The convenient location of the Tryp by Wyndham Lübeck Aquamarin - St. Lorenz, only 1.5 km from the A1 and only a few minutes by car from the old town (approx. 2.5 km), is the ideal base for your excursion to the UNESCO World Heritage City.

Lübeck has always been unique. Queen of the Hanseatic League for 500 years and today the gateway to the Baltic Sea, Scandinavia and the Baltic States. Founded in 1143 by Adolf von Schauenburg, revived by Henry the Lion in 1157, it was already declared an imperial city by Emperor Friedrich II in 1226.

The enclosed cityscape was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. Lübeck is characterized by water. The old town island, surrounded by the rivers Trave, Wakenitz and the Elbe-Lübeck Canal, still conveys the charm and cosmopolitanism of a port city.
